Tight Quarters? Hardly!

Perhaps our balconies, and even our closets, are bigger than some New Yorker’s apartments, but isn’t space efficiency, regardless of the size, one of our ultimate goals?

If there’s one thing New Yorkers share, it’s the feeling of being cramped – on the subway, in their office cubicles, and, at the end of the day, in their apartments. So it’s not surprising that Tiny Living, whose website launched in September, is attracting customers from Washington Heights to Washington Square Park.

The owner’s of Tiny Living, Roee Dori and Gretchen Broussard ”want to help our customers make better use of their space…Basically, we choose things that deal with space in a smart way,” Dori says. “A company might make 100 different tables, but only one will convert into a self-contained suitcase so you can stash it under a sofa or in the closet. It’s about finding that one.”

As Amy Wilson from Wired News writes, “In the end, we all could use more space, no matter where we live.”
